Kwin ribere munkrä gwi: Health from homeComarca Ngäbe-Buglë

The use of technologies for health promotion in western Panama’s Indigenous region Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé is often limited to group conferences and paper hand-outs. In the project Kwin ribere munkrä gwi, CDNA designs health promotion materials for this Comarca using radio and social media. Through community engagement conducted by CDNA, community members identified health topics of importance for their families and communities. In 2020, our volunteers, Choli and Delfina, worked with traditional and Western health authorities to develop a curriculum, and the project will be rolled out in 2021 in Spanish and local dialects Ngäbere and Murire on social media and radio stations that are used across the Comarca for communication between communities.
